Problem: A family in Northern California seeking a new deck addition for their home. They were seeking a very natural solution and appearance, but also needed a decking infrastructure that was both weather-proof and fit nicely with the surrounding wooded landscape. Environmental considerations were paramount in this setting, so all-natural materials were specified.
Solution: Americana’s Thermally Modified Ash Groove & Groove Decking. The owner wanted to maintain the beautiful brown color of the wood and chose to apply Cutek Extreme to enhance the water-resistant properties of the wood, but more importantly to prevent the wood from silvering out naturally.
